Notification

It never indicate that I have new mail.

Good app, but DRAWS too much POWER for what it does

App does what its supposed to. But it shows under “Apps Using Significant Energy” (battery icon on menubar). It also does not really notify me when I get emails. PLEASE FIX the power draw.

It’s got possibilities

Does an OK job. I got the Pro so I would have the indicator that I had new mail. It doesn’t work, yet. Hope they fix it.

Mesleading

This app only works for Microsoft-hosted web Outlook. It will not work with a corporate-hosted Exchange server, which makes it all but useless. Buyer beware, since the app description doesn’t mention this limitation anywhere.

Yosemite Support?

This doesn’t appear to support Yosemite o/s. My stupidity, I should have noted there are no recent reviews and it hasn’t been updated since 5/14.

No, Too Many Bugs

Couldn’t reply. Said to try again but eneded in a vicious cycle. No easliy visibly way to report problems. Not worth the purchase. I bought the pro but will re-consider other apps from the same promoter in the future (FIPLAB). Using Yosemite 10.10.

Doesn’t work for college accounts??

I dont know if its just me, but this app wont let me sign in to my college email created through outlook. I’ve tried everything. On the website equivelent, i can sign in, but on this app i cannot. I wasted my money. Btw, I have a knights email for UCF, in case UCF is the only university with this problem. idk.

Crashes every time you leave the app

I use this app all the time, so I know to save my work if composing an email or switching over to a browser or other window. When you do, be warned that the program will completely crash and not save anything you’ve done. Awful stability for an email program.

one bug kills this app for me

I would love to use this app, but when I open it, the window is half way off the screen and I have to reset the App window over and over and over. Fix this problem and I’ll gladly give 5 stars and recommend this app. Until then, this is pretty bad. Their Mailtab for Gmail does the same thing. So frustrating.

Cant login

Well paid for the app, but I can not log in to my outlook email. Just says outlook email not recognized. Good thing it was only 2 bucks.

it’s good

nice app

Free version works better

Paid for Pro version and could not use it. It refreshed constantly about every 6 seconds. Then Skype wants to constantly login in too. Researched how to unlink Skype from outlook and it still tries to login. I can’t get anything done with these things happening. Glad it was only two dollars but if a lot a people by it like this your still getting a lot of $$. Please fix this. I’m going back to the free version.

Latest update installs Malware!! DO NOT INSTALL

With the latest update, it attempts to launch Skype from your browser and opens window after window. Quitting your browser only causes it to restart the browser and open windows. Quitting MailTab Pro will stop the process. Until they get this fixed, do not install or run!!

Macbook unusable due to Skype login attempts when it’s running

Worked OK for a while but now it floods my Macbook with Skype logins as one of the other commenters said. Really, really bad, took me an hour today to figure out I didn’t have some malware installed.

what has Skype got to do with this app?

After having this app on my macbook pro for a week, it has started spawning web pages that have a skype header. The web pages continue to spawn until the system memory is used up. If you quit the browser, it reinitiates. The only way to stop this is too quit MailTab Pro.

MailTab Pro

This is the worst app I have ever used. Keeps trying to login to Skype and will not stop. Had to get rid of app. What a waste. Thank goodness it was only $2. Do Not use this app.

Microsoft Launching Skype login tabs Safari on Mac Yosemite

ATTEN: TO SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Everything was working great till 6/29/15 when microsoft announced the launch of skype in Outlook. i now am getting an automatic launch of Safari with a endless tabs trying to goto the “login Skype” page which never loads ?? even if i quit Safari. it launches again. the only way to stop this is quit the “Outlook pro” app i recently purchased. any help on this matter greatly appreciated.

Great!!

Update 4 Aug ’15 Well Alrighty than!! Looks like the fix is in :-) I’ll be back in a month to uprate to 5 stars if it holds true. Thanks Guys for fixing the bugs! I love this app. & no hiccups. Kudos all around!! Update: 17 July’15 ait pick up a bug when Outlook added Skype; trys to launch Skype upon opening and hiccups a refreshe every few seconds. Only stabilizes 10% of the time. Until they fix the glitches it’s useless. Sry guys, try again. Original review: March ‘15 This is how a menu tab should be! - The Outlook App in a one click ghost float, always accessible, fast & easy. A couple minor hiccups once and a while don’t bother the overall performance. Thanks guys. Keep up the fine work.

Advertising on paid app!!!

I have never loaded an app I paid for only to find it bring up advertising windows from the first click. And then it kept opening blank tabs in Chrome trying to do something. This app appears to only work with Microsoft Live (outlook.COM and Hotmail) accounts. It doesn’t work with Exchange accounts (which uses Outlook as the client!!!). I want my money back.

FAIL

Does not function properly. Cannot read message list as background is bright blue and not changeable. APP randomly opens my browser and goes to MSN, which I did not want… very annoying. Can not open the “preview” pane. Overall, terrible product!
